A word about Ross
After 50 years as an entertainer, creating scores of colorful characters, Ross decided his final role would be that of Author. Enter his debut novella: The Fairfax File, a very funny homage to the Noir Genre. He hopes it will reach a large audience and create an interest in short, fast-paced novellas. Quick, snappy reads to fill a few hours.

Meanwhile, apart from promoting the heck out of The Fairfax File, Ross has begun work on his new novella: Villainy! Set in LA in 1937, it's a rollicking romp revolving around the world of Hollywood in its heyday. Populated by an assorted cast of kooks and crazies willing to do anything for fame and fortune. Even...kill. The curtain will be up in September '25 when Villainy! makes its debut.

CHARACTER PHOTOS

As Marcel, on the left, in my last role in Vancouver.
The play was called Drive Train. It derailed after 5 performances. Two weeks later, I moved back to Ottawa.

Inspector Bottomley in Two's A Mob - 1998. One of four films produced locally by Distinct Features.

Abner in Tell The World circa '16.
A film about the beginnings of the Seventh Day Adventists. Good gig. Went into overtime and made a pant-load. Pity it didn't happen more often.

Lou Velvet - Vocal Stylist.
The Lou-man has been around for decades...and it shows. I love playing this character. Should have had a talk show.

As Emperor Constantine in
Crap film shot in Cyprus. See 10 Days in Budapest in the video section. I ended up seeing the Pyramids at Giza!
They let me keep the twins.

Homeless guy in Sci-Fi crap shot locally that had dozens of us shooting in some toxic wasteland somewhere. They utilized the big wind tunnel at the airport. Don't recall the name. I had 5 or 6 lines.
On stage as Frank Falcon - Vancouver '89. A wonderful cast. A damn good group of people. I had a good time there. Lots of live performances. Numerous dire dinner mysteries where I wanted to shoot myself. The stories I could tell of the disasters with a certain guy, we'll call Barney, at the helm. Ever tempted to jump out a second floor window?
A/V BITS
LOU VELVET CD PROMO

Trailer for my mockumentary entitled: I Saw the Boom.
Comedy audio bit that was shortlisted in
a CBC Radio Comedy Bit Competition.
I didn't win, but was paid twice for the airings of it.
JUST KILL ME
from A Very Velvet Sunset. Lou's songs for the aging.

SELF-EXPLANATORY

My response to Tom Allan of CBC Radio saying, 'There should always be one more song before the news.' He loved it and ended up airing a 15 second Version I made upon request.

From 2009. I made a 2 min version for the agency. This Director's Cut is pretty decent. Local folks will see a number of familiar faces. Enjoy
